Léa Richard

Léa is a Paris-based certified data privacy manager with a growth and integrity mindset. She has explored diverse data protection landscapes and roles, tirelessly seeking the “right” balance between technology, business growth and human rights. She started her career at Yahoo and fell in love with tech and privacy work while processing government requests for user data on the heels of Edward Snowden’s revelations. 

Strategic, methodical, and curious, she built a Trust & Safety program at Ledger, a world-leading blockchain scale-up where she grew into a Global Data Protection Officer.

Energetic and collaborative, Lea is a founding member of the European Data Protection Office of TikTok, a hyper-growth social media platform where she helped ramp-up the company's data protection capabilities and foster a privacy and security culture.

Through coordinating a network of hundreds of thought leaders and policy makers within a global think tank, she contributed to shape key regulations on access and transfer of personal data. 

Léa is also a founding member of Comète, a leadership club which connects “Head of” to “C-level” women and creates their personal board of advisors to help them grow and develop their career.
